I also went the Marijuana route.
I was doing RSO (rick simpson oil) as suppository.
It did lower my CRP ( C reactive protein) level a bit, but it did nothing for my stricture and didn't seem to actually cause healing.
However I wasn't doing it long because it's very expensive.
Which is another reason it may not have worked for me, I couldn't afford to buy enough for the amount my doctor really wanted me to try and take.
If you are in a state where you can grow it, then I say go for it.
You are going to need a lot for it to likely do any real good.
Making the oil also stinks quite a bit, so keep that in mind if you are in an apartment or something.
Depending on where you live and your circumstances it is worth trying though. There are people who have gone into remission with it.
My doctor was very big into this and did a lot of research, but there just isn't much to go on.
It is more likely the terpenes ine the marijuana rather than the THC (though that is anti infamatory) that will be of more help.
The terpene humulene is as powerful as a prescript
ion steroid for inflamation.
Beta carypphyllene binds to endocanibinoid receptors and reduces inflamation that way.
Death star is a very good strain to use.
Try finding strains that have high humulene and beta caryophyllene.
You can also by the terpene extracts to add do your oil if the strain you are using is low on those terpenes, or just to add more.
