Since my resection last summer, I've been taking 4 caplets of Imodium daily. It's been helping with urgency issues. I've been taking the Kirkland brand Imodium and it's been working well for me. For whatever reason, Kirkland (or Costco) decided to not distribute Imodium in generic form anymore. It's been two months, I've tried the CVS, Rite Aid, and Target generics, and all don't seem to work the same. On those generics, I have been experiencing an increase in urgency issues.

Is there a difference between generics, especially for Imodium? Is there a particular generic that someone can recommend? As you may know, the Imodium brand is relatively expensive, so I have been using generics to save money.

I use the Wal-Mart brand. I find that it works just as good as the brand name and is 1/2 the price. I call it my "recreational drug". LOL
