Julian, diets vary per individual. An example, a person with very mild disease may get by with diet only, diet & medication as needed. Sure, you will read a lot of different things on the internet, but that does not mean it's true because someone posted about it. Lots of unreliable info out there.
Given that you are on Remicade you don't fall in the very mild to mild category. There is nothing wrong with a healthy diet. Remission for 17 months, I would not want to rock that boat. Keep in mind if you go off Remicade you cannot go back on it, the odds are mighty slim. I have not seen one person able to resume it after going off. You need to ask yourself, do I want to take that risk? Do, I want to end up on another drug that does not handle my condition as well, because that is always a possibility?
