Hey everyone. I have began having issues with joint, muscle, and tendon pain. My grip feels weak in my left hand and clumsy. Can't figure out what is exactly aggravating it. At first I thought it was either Remicade reaction or the Remi not working anymore. But this is has been going on for almost 2 years now and seeming to get worse. I have stopped Remicade because it wasn't working anymore. Starting Stelara soon. This pain is just getting awful after seeing a neurologist and ortho they said they don't see anything wrong. Gastro said it could be crohns but wait and see on new med. I'm just unsure it is the crohns because this flare hasn't been bad and the pain doesn't seem to coincide. My forearm tendons have gotten irritated and swollen like a bruise. Anyone have experience with this kind of thing? I'm only 25 and scared to death that I won't be able to play guitar or use my limbs for anything before too long.
Pentasa and Imuran
Beginning Stelara soon

Hello Yakkob, it is not uncommon to see IBD patients have these same complaints. Sometimes it can be caused by their medication. I suggest that you asked to be referred to a rheumatologist for an opinion. This dr deals with many different types of arthritis including ones connected to IBD disease.
If your gi is not that receptive to making the referral then go see your PCP. Take care.

Hey! I totally feel your pain. I started humira 5 months ago after a bowel obstruction and have been having such bad joint pain in my hands, shoulders and hips. GI doc sent me a referral to a rheumatologist but can’t be seen until January. Def recommend getting a referral sooner rather than later because the wait is pretty long sometimes. Best of luck!!
