I gave up drinking juice years ago when I found out it was basically the same as drinking coca cola but with vitamin C. It wasn't a big loss for me, as I've never cared much about
fruit juice and only drank it because it seemed like the healthy option.
Whole fruit is far better for you - well, for people without IBD that is. The fibre slows down the sugar absorption and it's generally lower in calories as well. It's really easy to drink 200 calories worth of fruit juice; not so easy to eat 5 oranges in one go.

Tried: 5-ASAs, azathioprine, 6MP, Remicade, methotrexate, Humira, diets.
1st surgery 20/2/13 - subtotal colectomy with end ileostomy.
2nd surgery 10/7/15 - ileorectal anastomosis. Stoma reversed and ileum connected to the rectum.
Current status: Chronic flare. Do I have any other kind?
Current meds: 50mg 6MP; Entyvio (started 3/11/16)
