Hi, welcome to HW. Sorry about
your traumatic introduction to this crappy disease.
Well 73monte has got me wondering about
what meds you did try before having surgery. And are you on any meds now?
As for your stomach pain, it could be a slight partial obstruction due to the things you mentioned (along with possible dehydration - people without colons get dehydrated more quickly, so it's important to drink enough). Try eating a light, low residue diet for a few days - no fibre, no red meat, nothing that's hard to digest. And plenty of fluids.
Hopefully that knocks it on the head, but if it doesn't I would go and see your doctor. Worst case scenario: the Crohn's has come back, but let's hope it isn't that. It is more likely to be a mild obstruction, I think.
Dx Crohn's in June 2000. (Yay )
Tried: 5-ASAs, azathioprine, 6MP, Remicade, methotrexate, Humira, diets.
1st surgery 20/2/13 - subtotal colectomy with end ileostomy.
2nd surgery 10/7/15 - ileorectal anastomosis. Stoma reversed and ileum connected to the rectum.
Current status: Chronic flare. Do I have any other kind?
Current meds: 50mg 6MP; Entyvio (started 3/11/16)
