I had Permacol put in the remaing singular RVF tract on Wednesday. My CRS was happy with everything and I trust him completely so no issues there... BUT...
As always, I had bad constipation post-surgery. Followed by a bad diarrhoea. This might (or not) have something to do with the 1.3 littes of warm water I drank and a horse dose of Lactulose in an attempt to ease the constipation.
So after all the stretching and pressure, my fistula first gave way to wind and then Some ongoing, small amounts of watery stool drainage. No bits though, yay! So far.
Now I know that the tissue would have been under so much strain and this was to be expected. But I’m still pretty bummed out, without any intended puns.
The realist in me thinks that it will all calm down and the paste will work but the sarcastic, slightly cynical and self-pitying part of me is currently having a field day in my head.
At least the diarrhoea has just about stopped now.
Not much point to this post, really, just felt like gracing you all with the story of my ongoing struggle. 🙈
Thanks for reading. Onwards and upwards. 💪
