Just fissures? I'm going through this right now and nothing seems to help it. I suffer from fissures, although one GI said a small fistula, the others haven't mentioned it. When I go, at times, it almost brings me to tears. It feels like acid on a wound, which it probably is, since I did have a fair portion of small intestine removed and the end part of the small intestine is gone, so the bile acid is ending up in the colon? I have applied all kinds of barriers, antibiotic cream, fungal cream, vasoline, penaten, prep H, and zinc creams to the anal are and nothing seems to help. When I had an ileostomy bag for a year, you would think that area would have gotten healed for good within that time?. When I had the ileostomy removed, it was a matter of days and I had a raw bottom again. If anyone has suggestions please help? When I have told my doctors about this, they are more concerned about the crohn's and are blaming it on the crohn's but haven't given me anything to help this problem. The one thing that does help is when Prednisone is given for crohn's or for other issues, than the perianal area clears up as well. I've had 2 colonoscopies within a few months time and examinations, and they see nothing, they said, no hemorrhoids, no crohn's, no nothing, yet it burns, hurts and itches and they see nothing? Does a colonoscopy miss the point of entry or what? I know what I feel?
