I've seen a couple of posts regarding some past forum members that are no longer actively posting here. I can still remember two particular regulars here, (Nanners and Gachrons), that provided me with really incredible support years ago when my Daughter was first diagnosed, and I was just completely lost and desparate for help. If either of you are still lurking here, just wanted to let you know, you haven't been forgotton. Maybe some other oldies remember these two?

Nanners was a wonderful person to chat with! I still try to finish with Take Care like she did in her posts. I miss her greatly. I am fairly certain she won't be lurking...wish she did. Keah was a great person too. GACrohns is familiar, but I can't specifically recall any details (I should do some searches).
There are many from the early days that aren't around much/at all anymore.I keep hoping for the most positive on all of them.
Take Care!

Hi Habs and 73Monte! Just was casually looking at saved sites on my IPhone and saw Healingwell, so thought I’d take a look. Kind of weird to see this post too. Kind of like I was supposed to see it.

I am on a few Crohns sites on Facebook now. I think that’s where most of us went. Getting ready to start my 46th year of living with Crohns. I’m on disability now. Crohns is in remission, but I have a large tangle of bowel and scar tissue that gives me quite a bit of grief. I have to battle keeping my bowels moving or I get what are called mechanical obstructions. I take stool softners nightly in order to keep things soft and easier to pass. I’ve always battled more constipation than diarrhea. But it seems to be getting harder as the years pass. I suffer with severe joint issues the most now. Severe osteoarthritis, Fibromyalgia and hellacious nerve pain. I had a mild stroke about 4 years ago and that brought the nerve pain.

Anyways, I hope your daughter is doing well 73Monte and hope you are doing well as well Habs! Hugs all! (New sign off)

Hi Nanners, talk about a blast from the past! You were here when I first joined. It was wonderful seeing you post! Sorry to read about your health struggles, I get it. I too ended up on disability.

I will have to check out FB for forums, I would love to see some of the members.

Nanners!!!

How great that you saw my post and replied. So sorry to hear of your struggles, but really hope you can get everything to a manageable level. Would really like to see you return as a contributing member here. I'm not on FB, but glad your still connected to the Crohn's community offering support to others. All the best to you going forward.

Hey Nanners. Don't know if you remember me, but it's good to see you. I am sorry to hear about your health problems though. (I'm struggling too, with various issues.)

I wish this could become a community again. I'd post more regularly if it did >_>.

Nice to see you Nanners, I remember you from a few years back and it was a pleasure to read your posts and responses. I've noticed many of our HealingWell regulars are no longer visiting here, but just know that you are missed. Also hands up to those who stayed behind to help some of us who chose to stay? Hugs to all.

Hi Nanners,

Your, randynofuts, and nicecupoftea posts really helped me out when I was on here in 2007 when first diagnosed. I wish you the best. Thank you for being you

I deliberately don't use Facebook groups for IBD because then you have to give your identity (unless you make an account with a pseudonym i suppose). Also for privacy from my friends - most of them don't know i have colitis and I'm happy for it to stay that way. I like the anonymity of the web forum.

So nice to see some familiar names. I just came back tonight but had to use a new name since I had forgotten my info. I was auntie before. So great to hear from you again, straydog and nanners!

I am blown away to see all of you again. Sorry to hear of ongoing struggles, and keeping you in my prayers. How are you faring during social distancing? What I miss most is holding babies and reading to little children. Otherwise, staying home is not so bad since I am getting old and tired. I have moved to Pennsylvania and have wonderful neighbors.

Susie, thanks for the info! I think I will ease back in here for now. Maybe later I’ll revisit as eljay. Thanks for welcoming me, just like old times.
