The results of the CT chest scan did not show any abnormalities. I haven't heard form my GI though. I still have this itching sore throat and earache + chest pain. It seems I've caught a bad cold. I texted my GI asking to change the antibiotic, azithromycin, as it caused watery diarrhea and severe stomach ache but he did not reply. So, I searched my old meds and found gemifloxacin and took it. It's a quinolone and this is the only class of antibiotics that I'm allowed to take. Also, I couldn't pass a day without taking an antibiotic since I didn't want the infection I got to become resistant. I don't know whether what I did was right or wrong but I know out of experience that once an antibiotic causes watery bms, I have to stop it. I once forced myself to continue an antibiotic despite the watery diarrhea and ended up having a severe flare up. I'm very glad that it wasn't COVID 19. For a week, all doctors, nurses and lab doctors made me feel I've got corona. It seems that the sore throat and fever made them think so. I hated the idea of self-isolation and being away from my family for a whole week. Hope all people and especially IBDers, who come down with corona, get well soon.

It's good that you do not have Covid-19, which is an awful disease to have. If you had it, the quarantine would be two weeks, during which time everyone is afraid you. There is social stigma associated with the highly contagious disease.

A lot of American doctors are good and know what they are doing. But, there are a whole lot of unqualified doctors. I have seen them and I can tell. I took my son to see an allergist and I suggested to the doctor what medicine I wanted him to prescribe. He just did what I told him without questioning. When I left the office, I was thinking of does he have a better alternative?

I'm very happy for you. Something you don't need, but please continue to take prevention measures to make sure you won't get it? My sister had to also take a Covid test last Thurs, due to symptoms of coughing and not being able to breathe. Doctor said she either has that, or a viral pneumonia? I don't know when the results will come back?
