I haven't been around in HW for a while as I had a lot of work to do. October 17, I got fever, diarrhea and a sore throat. Saw an ENT for the sore throat who immediately suspected COVID and ordered blood work and a CT chest. All came back negative. I was advised to start Coronavirus protocol which I did.
November 17, I had colleagues whom I deal daily with who tested positive for Coronavirus. I developed fever, severe headache and muscle ache. Did tests and all were negative. All my family members started to have the same symptoms as I did. Uptil now both my mum and I have loss of taste and smell.
December 19, woke up from sleep because of diarrhea, vomiting and a fever of 38.6. I keep getting nocturnal diarrhea which I really loathe (these are supposed to have stopped due to Remicade). Contacted my GI who ordered CT chest. Got results of CT chest yesterday. I have patches of ground glass opacities and atelectatic bands in a lung subsequent to a previous viral pneumonia. That shows that the last infection that was a month ago, was COVID too.
Now, I have pain in my right lung. I I quarantined myself and hope nobody of my family will get infected. I also began the home treatment of antibiotics, anticoagulants and multivitamins.
Is this mere luck or is there a relationship between Crohn's and the recurrent infection of COVID-19?
