Hi Lois, so glad to see you have returned. I do remember you too. I did a forum search with your user name & came up empty handed. I was hoping to find some of your old posts on here.

I saw your other post about the stricture situation. I hear what you are saying about age & surgery, you would probably be hard pressed to find an anesthesiologist willing to put you under unless it was an emergency. Add in more hospitals are stopping elective surgeries again because of the virus. Seems like it's always something.

It is so good to see old friends again, and I look forward to meeting new ones. I was wrong about my old user name, although I am sure I was called “auntie” by many. I found something I had copied in 2005 when I resigned as a moderator, and I was eljay1066 then. Right now I am waiting for a teleconference with my gastro. Will update afterwards.

Well, it took a while. The call got dropped in the middle, but we finally reconnected and it was informative and encouraging. My symptoms might be not directly from Chrohn’s but from bile malabsorption (BAD) due to the stricture. It should respond well to treatment. Hooray! Anyone else experience this? Another piece of good news — my colonoscopy showed no active inflammation.
