I think I've posted about this issue in the past. My Daughter seems to keeps getting recurrent yeast infections. Seems to almost monthly. The pills do clear things, but it's getting tedious for her to constantly be battling this issue. Anyone have any experience or advice they can share?

I struggle with this also.

I don't know if this will help...but for me...it seemed to make a little difference if I stayed away from products with yeast and sugar in them. I also added Briggs apple cider vinegar to my water to try to help change my overall ph balance thinking that might help. ( I didn't notice any change there) and finally I started taking more baths followed by a shower nozzle to "finish" my cleaning and rinsing. That seemed to help a little.

Eventually it calmed down on its own. (After I used pills, then cream nightly and eventually weaned off the inserted cream.)

If I hear anything else I will let you know.

Thanks Clo,

I'll pass this on to her. Although, I think she's actually trying to avoid simple sugars as a start.

I looked on several of the major university sites here in the US, all of them had estrogen birth control pills listed as a cause. Some women produce more estrogen than others too that are not on birth control pills.

Whatever is going on I hope she can get them under control.

Thanks Susie,

As a Father, I can't get too personal, but far as I know, no birth control pills at the moment. Good info none the less, thanks for replying.

Is she on a probiotic? That might help balance things.

Has she been on antibiotics a lot in the past? When I get frequent yeast infections, it's because of antibiotics.

There's also the possibility that the Diflucan pill is only knocking about 95% of it, which means it just comes back as opposed to being a separate infection each time.

It could be worth trying a big treatment - like an entire week or two of Diflucan instead of just one or two days.

Also, I know things were out of balance for me after antibiotics, having kids, etc. My OB prescribed something called Fem PH that restored the balance. It burned like crazy and smelled like vinegar, but it worked like a charm.

Hopefully one of these ideas helps.

You could tell her that you looked at a couple of medical websites about reoccuring yeast infections & they listed too much estrogen is also a culprit. Encourager her to read up on it, that way you don't have to mention BC pills.

Thanks again Ladies,

She has been on a couple of rounds of antibiotics in the last year. Strep and an abscessed wisdom tooth. She's been on and off with probiotics. She doesn't seem to feel that they agree with her. Will definitely pass on the info regarding Fem PH.
