Covid-19 Booster Shot

I am interested in getting a Covid-19 booster shot, but not 65+ as yet. Does Chron's Disease qualify for certain underlying medical condition? How about latent TB? I have not talked to my doctor as yet, but I really like to a booster. I had Moderna before.

Call your pharmacist. They have other guidelines besides over 65. Crohns did qualify me at one pharmacy but not at another. (I guess everyone is making up their rules as they go along) Your meds might qualify you--if you are on 6mp or methotrexate or an anti-tnf.

I had my third shot, not the booster, back in August. Taking Stelara qualified me according to my primary care doctor.

Paul, if you were on an immunosuppressant for crohns you would qualify according to the FDA. I would talk to my dr about the latent tb issue which may be a qualifier for you. Be sure it's been 6 months since your second shot too.

Thank you, all, for your responses. Next month, it will be six months from my second shot of Moderna. I will talk to my primary care physician about this. I tolerated the first two covid-19 vaccine shots well with only minor side effects.

From Canada- Imuran and Stelara both qualify for the booster shot regardless of age. I get mine in 2 weeks - post my last Stelara injection.
