I am needing advice from those who had surgery, I know Randy could answer this. I have a pinching, burning feeling in my gut to the right and bottom of my surgery site, they went to the right of my bellybutton and gave me about a 4-5 inch incision and I now have retention stitches in until monday....My belly on that side feels warm but I am not running a this feeling normal or should I be concerned and call the surgeon....I am a little concerned about something tearing in there and me needing to go back into the hospital, that is my biggest fear right now....other than that I have been feeling great, not doing anything but sitting like the dr said so I know it isn't anything I did.......Please help sad
They say laughter is the best medicine....then why are my pants wet, my gut sore and I am still laughing!!!

I still have a pinching feel in my lower left side ( i have had 3 Sx this yr the most recent was june 20th. I swa the dr Thursday and I brought up the pinching feeling if my underwear waistband is on it I feel it. He said it would go away. I also can feel internal sutures still near the bottom of my incision. My incision is 7 inches long and the only area it is warm was the area what I have a local infection, I do not have a temp though, part of a nylon suture grew in so well that the knot was able to be removed but the rest had to work its way out. Since it is not normal material my body reacted and one day (2 days after the surgeon removed the nylon sutures...which was 4 weeks post op I had the staples taked out 2 weeks post op) I was in the shower and the area popped like a zit. The Dr was able to open the incision with a q tip since the skin was begining to break down. I now have to stuff a corner of a gauze in there so it acts like a wick to remove the pus also preventing the outer skin from healing the infection in. I had told him of the pain in the area before too and that was 3 weeks before he removed the nylon sutures the area (about an inch outside the infection) is still sore to the touch. The infection now that I have been doing the gauze thing I litterally have to remove almost all of the cotton on the q tip so I can place 1 layer of a corner of gauze in the open area. Defeinitly bring that up with your surgeon though, mine was never warm to the touch or had a burning feeling it may be nerve pain I am on a nerve med for just that reason. I cant tell you if what you have is normal since none of my surgeries went without complications.

Wish you the best
