Hi all, I'm new to the forum.
I have a friend with crohn's.
My friend is in constant pain, and has tried every med out there. I have herd about the new drug (Remicade)Have any of you tried this drug?
And has it helped in any way?

Also can this disease lead to intestinal cancer?

Thank you and good luck to all of you

Hi Jewel Welcome to HW sorry your friend is not well. As for Reicade a lot of us here are on it and it has done good for alot of us.I am on it now and don't have much pain hardly any and it healed a fistula. Is your friend thinking of trying Remicade? As far as cancer goes we get tested often with scopes and test Remicae has about a 2% rish factor of cancer.Hope this helps you somewhat and give our best wishes to your friend.lol gail

With having crohns affecting the colon it slightly increases the risk of cancer but it must also be factored in how long the disease remains in the colon and how severe it is as well, still the risk only increases slightly compared to someone without crohns-colitis or ulcerative colitis.

Thank you all for your reply. And yes my friend is going to ask the Doc, about remicade, he is seeing a new doc this week.
His old doc had him on (Morphine) for way to long. Now he is fighting a drug addiction as well. when he came down off morphine the pain was unbarable. I feel so bad for him. And i cant do any thing to help.

Thanks again, and good luck to you all.
P.s My spelling is bad i know LOL
