Hi all,

I am sure most of you know my story.  I spoke to my GI again today since now my right hip in the groin area is painful, to the point that I had a hard time sleeping.  He wants me to see an RA asap but since I have not seen an RA dr in RI since 2001 I have to start at square 1 again as far as appts go.  The last RA I saw was in California when I was living there inn 2004.

He is calling Entocort in for me but wants me to hold off as long as I can since my gut is okay as long as I eat bland (even having to avoid foods that use to not bother me).  The soonest appt I can get with the RA dr I use to see is Oct. They said if my GI calls they might be able to get me in sooner that way even tho the schedule is booked solid.  My GI is having me go in in oct rather than Dec just due to these issues.  He is thinking of upping my colonoscopy too (was planning on one in January).

How many of you have had good responces to joint pain on entocort?

I never had to use the Entocort for the joint pain so I don't have any answers for you on that. But I am glad that you are going to see a Rheumy. I really think that everyone of us Crohnnies should see one. I just saw one for the first time last month and will be doing my follow up with her after all the tests she had me. My follow up is this Friday. Many of us suffer from Crohns related arthritis. In me she suspects that I have either Inflammatory Arthritis or AS. Whats good for us though is the treatment for these things helps not only our joints but our guts too. i.e. Methotrexate or Humira. I also got diagnosed with Fibromyalgia too (also common with Crohns). Good Luck to you.
