Oh boy do I know exactly how you feel. Like there's a cork in there somewhere? Ugh. What a disgusting feeling.
Try drinking 2-3 glasses of lukewarm water as soon as you wake up in the morning. If you take am meds, perfect timing.
Try eating steamed beets. Beet juice (no pulp, cut it with 1/2 carrot juice, also no pulp) works like a charm for me.
Other than that my GI approves of Magnesium Citrate. You can buy it at the pharmacy in a little bottle and drink it down. But personally I find that having a side of beets with my meals makes everything move very naturally. I encourage you to find something as natural as possible that works otherwise it's gonna be a long pregnancy.
Congratulations, by the way! My baby is almost 2 now and other than the constipation I felt like superwoman my entire pregnancy. Hope it's the same for you!
Hopefully by liquids you meant stuff like Ensure - you need lots of nourishment!
