I need some insurance experts here. I was diagnosed with Crohn's June of last year. AND I didn't have insurance at the time. My insurance through my current employeer (a small 5 person company) has placed a rider on my policy until Jan. of 08. I was provided Remicade for 6 months last year on charity. I have not had any treatments since Jan. 07. I have had problems related to my CD this year.
My problem is that my current employeer has taken everyone off of their standard wages and swithced them to straight commission, to which he is not paying properly. I need to find other employment but would making a move jepardize my getting my CD rider removed for another year?
My Other Option is Self-employment I can make enough money to stay financially stable however it would be very taxing and stressfull to my system.

It depends on the state you live in and the Insurance company. I know in CA, the insurance company can only put a rider for pre-existing for 6 months and only if you you had a lapse in insurance. Possibly, since you have insurance coverage, they may not do this, but since you have a rider, they may.
25+years diagnosed with CD.
Numerous surgeries, permanent ostomy, adverse reactions to Remicade finally off of Prednisone, hoping for a long remission from this last surgery.
