Hey guys,

I'm a new member, so say Hello! ;) I'm 23 years young and live in germany. And I think you know why I'm here but first let me tell a little:
1.5 years ago I had a perforation of stomach, then a MRSA infection. This led to the fact that my stomach and most parts of my small bellow had to be removed. Now I'm sitting here with my parenteral nutrition and with 1.5m small bellow followed by the the rest of my colon. And as if this is not enough, I always get these gastroenteritises so my doc worries that I could have crohn...

The reason why I'm posting here is to get in contact with some people who are in a different situation, at best at my age. It's hard to handle something if you can't talk to someone who can understand you.

Best regards,
Burki :-)

Hope my English is not too bad... yeah

Hi Burki! Welcome and Im sorry you are having a rough time but glad you found healing well. I am amazed when people come here for support that speak English as a second language. I studied Spanish for a long time but am still in no way fluent. Anyway, we only learn by trying. Thought you might want to know that "bellow" is spelled bowel but don't worry, we all knew what you were talking about. I used to encourage people to correct my spanish otherwise I would never progress. You should find a lot of support here.

Welcome to the forum. You've been through an enormously complicated change with that much of your GI tract removed. I'm so sorry to hear this. One person you may want to hear from here is Randynoguts as he's had many surgeries and has valuable information concerning such.

Your English is perfect. My daughter took German in high school and my brother-in-law lived in Germany when I was a child, so I have an appreciation for your language, though I only know a few phrases.

Thanks for being so nice! :)

I will be in hospital from tomorrow on. Don't know for how long, I hope at most 5 days. But we will see. Got fever and it seems like my catheter is infected...

See you soon, will update you! :)
