I had my resection a year ago.  Today after I finished my workout at the Y this morning I noticed a really sharp, and I mean pin-point sharp, pain right by my belly button and the scar.  I first thought that is was a pin that got stuck in me but there was nothing there.  When I push on it I can really feel it.  Almost think it might be a staple or something left inside of me.  I'm not too concerned so I don't think it's something I need to run to the ER about and if I still have it at my next appointment in Sept I'll bring it up to my GI but does anybody know what it could be?

I've had internal stitch knots work their way closer to the surface rather than being absorbed by surrounding fatty tissue.  It felt like pin pricks.  It was right at my waistline and my clothes irritated it, so they just removed it.   Doesn't sound exactly like you've described but thought I'd throw it out there to think about.

I don't know what it is either but I have that same pain quite often. If and when you find out let me know. My docs have said nothing about it.

I've had that pain from a fistula right before it makes it's way to the surface. It usually shows a little "blue" from the surface of the skin before it pops. Not saying that's what it is, just saying it's possible.
