Hi all,

As you may know my ostomy reversal was june 20th.  I have been having D and loose stools since then.  On agv now a days I go between 2 and 4times.  I dont know if it is stress right now but I have gone 6 times today and eaten very little.  My nana did pass away last week and the funeral was yesterday.  I am still on the medrol dose pack which helped my joints lots.  Pred always makes my belly better (with exception of the perforation in Feb.)

What should I do? should I take half of an imodium, I am already eating bland low residue....

What about calling your doc? Rest definately. I think the stress you are under might be making things worse but I would call your GI and double check if it is ok to take an imodium. I don't know why you wouldn't be able to, but I don't have an MD next to my name.

STRESS! As indeed stress does not cause CD it can aggravate it! Need to learn to calm down. Now, I realise that a passing of a loved one is indeed very stressful. But try EFT, Yoga, or listening to Hearts of Space (HOS is a contemplative music programme as hosted by Stephen Hill out of San Francisco. Each week there is a new programme www.hos.com). Learning how to relax is no easy chore, but once mastered, you will be amazed at the results!

I have only a mild form of Crohn's Ileitis and as I listen "religiously" as I have since the mid 1980's, the music is soothing and helps to relax and just let the stress "melt" away. So whatever technique suits you best, please do it! nono

it is hard to say if it is my CD flaring since prior to my surgeries I delt mostly with C. The surgeon removed a little more of my colon while reversing my ostomy hoping to relieve C but not cause D. It doesnt feel like a CD flare plus I am on the pred pack...maybe it was my bodies reaction to the food after the funeral...ate some pilsburry crescent rolls for dinner so far so good...the low fat variety
