I've had all three.  I'm not sure if my hair loss was due to vitamin difficiency, meds, or genes.  My mother's hair is thinning and not coming back.  My loss has always slowed and thickened back to pre-thinning days.

For years I've had a small patch of psoraisis at the base of my scalp.  In the past few months, the psoraisis has diminished and been replaced by huge patches that look more like exzema (sp?).  I had exzema as a baby......Not sure if this is the same thing.  But I've also had patches come up on my eyelids.  It's slowly going away on my face, but it remains on my scalp.

I've used Head&Shoulders Intensive Solutions twice this week and will continue to see if it helps.  The guy that does my hair suggested it--he said it worked for him.......we'll see.

At night before bed gently rub extra virgine olive oil into your scalp and you can saturate your hair with it too (not oozing or dripping with it but enough to cover your hair thoroughly) this will make your scalp and hair very healthy, it absorbs into your skin...I use it for my hair and all over my body as a moisturizer.

I might have a few patches of something or another on my crown. I've had an itchy spot for about a year or so. It expanded when I went on Entocort and at the moment appears to be gone. But I think it recurs.

I also have a very itchy spot that kind of erupts every now and then on my upper right thigh. Only about 1/8" dia. This started about the same time. Maybe these were among the first signs my immune system was running amok.

Every Jan/Feb I get a bout of eczema on my scalp. Nasty, big flakes of skin. Just gross. I use this prescription mousse like medicine and it clears it up in a couple of days.

Hair loss and some type of scalp condition, itchy & small scabs. I use psoriasis tar shampoo which helps, but doesn't fix. I have bad skin in general.

use extra virgine olive oil on your hair, scalp and skin, it's a natural antibacterial, antifungal and antibiotic.

I have seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp and some on my face -- itchy, flaky, and very oily skin.  My hair used to be dry when I was younger but now it's very oily.  I also get some acne on top of my head from all the oil (I'm 36 and don't have acne anywhere else).

I started having a problem with seborrheic dermatitis a couple months after I started Humira. I get a dry, flaky, sometimes itchy scalp and dry patches of skin in the center of my face. My dermatologist seems to think it is linked to the Humira, and it often flares up the day after an injection. I have kept it under control for the most part using Plexion wipes on my face, DHS Sal shampoo (non-prescription), and occasionally Olux foam for my scalp.

killerzoey, I had an itchy patch on my scalp and one on my right thigh too. I went to the doctor and found out it is ringworm (a fungal infection, not an actual worm!) I tried using the shampoo Nizoral on it twice a day and that really didn't help. He prescribed and oral antifungal - that got rid of it but it has since come back. It seems to come back every time I flare.

I've had psoriasis on my extremities, hands, feet, head. Best solution for the head is DONT PICK! I know it is soooo tough but if you do you'll end up with bald spots. I also suggest the olive oil because I use vasoline on my feet and that does the trick better than any medicine they've given me.

I am newly diagnosed with CD and have had sores/bumps/scabs on my head off and on for several months. Thanks so much for posting this question because now I know this is all related to the CD. I'm not on any meds yet. Tried Entocort and Prednisone and had a reaction to both (couldn't breathe). The 5 days on Pred stopped my head sores though.

eyes

I have had scalp issues for several years.....the tar shampoo helps but I think I will try the Olive Oil.  I have experienced relief on the Pred and when I was taking allergy shots (I stopped with my last flare because my immune system was very weak).
