Ive just recieved my loading dose of humira and kinda wanted to get a idea of how soon I should see results? I hope this is my miricale medication.

I've been on Humira since the begining of July.  I started to notice the frequency of the pain and the frequency of the d started to decrease within just a week or two after I started my loading dose.  I still have lots of problems with my fistula (lots of bleeding and mucus) and those things haven't gotten any better. My doctor said that it takes some people up to a year to see the full benefits or to finally reach remission.  I'm just hoping it will help close my fistula.

I had my loading dose in October and 1 shot e/o week. I was also on imuran 5 pills a day. After about 6 - 8 weeks we changed the dose to 1 shot a week. I started having more energy, and more controlled bowel movements. I developed shingles in march and went off all meds for 12 weeks.my choice- the doctor freaked when he found out) When i started back on the humira i have 1 shot every 7-9 days, and 1 imuran pill a day. I have a bit more energy and some control over my bowels. I find i feel really beat the day after my humira, so i usually plan for a day with less activity.
I find that when it comes closer to the day of meds, i have stiff joints and my knees are really sore. The within a couple of days this is gone.
Good luck with the humira, it seem like it helps a lot of people.
