Hi everyone,

I am back from my summer holidays and I had a wonderful time.....the first summer in ages that I was able to stay at the beach for 5 hours without trying to reach a bathroom.  Of course the minute I step foot in Athens, my intestines started doing numbers on me.... nausea, bloating etc.  BUT I try to keep my memories of this summer, and I thank God that I could enjoy a full month of holidays with my children and the rest of the family.

Anyway, hope that everyone is OK and had a good vacation.

Hi Christina,

So good to hear from you again and I am glad you had such a great holiday with your family. I was so worried about you lately with all the fires in Greece. So happy to hear you and yours are okay. Will keep your fellow countrymen in my prayers.

God Bless,

Nanners thank you so much for your kind words, everybody here is so sad about the fires, so many people have died, it's so unfair.... people die everyday from diseases, accidents etc., but to be burned alive?  And so many people are left homeless, the fire has burned not only their homes but also their trees, their animals, they will not have an income for years to come.  On the other hand, greek people are so generous, we have organised a "marathon" to collect money for the sufferers and the amount raised is beyond expectation.

I had a discussion with my husband the other day, and we came to the conclusion that our grandchildren will have no idea what a tree looks like....  they won't be able to breathe........

Thank you for keeping everyone of them in your prayers, I do too, and I hope God will ease their pain.....

Christina

Everyone is keeping Greece and its people in their prayers. Where I come from, wich is far Norther Ontario, there used to be many forest fires and small communities wiped out by them. I remember my grandfather saying he and his family had spent the night in the river trying to avoid the flames...they came out with singed eyebrows and hair , to no home, no income, .....but they had each other and communities have a way of pulling together and helping each other out. I pray for the families in Greece that have lost loved ones, Homes and things can be replaced but not a life. We are a Global Village now...and people will rally together I'm sure ....our hearts , and thoughts, and prayers are with them....hopefully there will be lots of worlwide help to rebuild that beautiful country.

God Bless,

Mary
