Thank you guys for all your kind thoughts. I'm pretty sure having prep is unusual for a pill cam. But my doctor was trying everything in his power to make sure it doesn't get stuck, especially since I've done two of the patency/disolvable capsules and both of them were shown to be stuck. So he wanted to try and clear everything out as much as possible... at least that was my interpretation of it. That's also why I was on a liquid diet for two days before swallowing the pill cam.
How long did it take your doctors to get back to you about
the results? I'm thinking because it's a three day weekend it might take a while longer. I'm still having a ton of D. As gross as this might sound, I think because I'm having so much that I'm somehow actually running out of things to come out. But my body still acts like it has to and so a small amount does. It's kind of like at the end of prep and it's just getting the final amount out. So I thought I was close to being done. And then I had some toast today and it started all over again. It's really frustrating. And I can't take my Naproxen for the period cramps since my doctor said it makes the Crohn's worse. So I am not feeling well and am trying to somehow get caught back up on my reading for law school.
How long do you think I should wait to contact my doctor if I don't see the pill in the toilet? I haven't been able to see anything, but I thought I might hear it, because all I've been having is D. How long does it typically take to pass? Dragonfly37927, since you had a stricture, did it take longer to pass? How did you find out it was out?
My jabbing pains are still there, but they were there before the pill cam. It's not any worse than it was before, except for now it's really tender and sore to the touch in those places. I think I might wait until at least Tuesday before I call my doc. It's nothing worse than I've had before.. and I do want him to enjoy his three day weekend. I'm just trying to stay hydrated since everything is leaving my body as soon as I eat it seems.
Thanks again for responding. It means a lot that other people have gone through this.
