I have pain between my shoulder blades with no clue what it is. I have been having problems with my CD since being off of entocort. I have bad gas type BM's and this bizzare ache . Can gas get trapped and create this? I feel some heart burn again and nausea. I am soooooooooo sick of Dr. visits. I have CD and Lupus and this is def. not the lupus.

I am going on the assumption you are a woman. Have you checked your blood pressure lately? Do you have any heart related problems or possible medicine side effects that could cause this? Could you be dehydrated? Not trying to scare you, but, this symptom is not something to play with. Women with cardiac problems can have this kind of diverted pain instead of chest pain. Please don't play around with this since you also have nausea. Or.....yes, it could just be excessive upper digestive gas. Either way, it warrants getting checked out.

Gallbladder attacks cause pain in the shoulder blades google gallbladder attack symptoms and see if this fits you. You can get an ultrasound to check gallbladder.

Ditto on Sugarmarie's comments! I'm going through this and the tests as we speak.

My gallbladder pain was all between my shoulder blades. Also if you have been on steriods it could be a compression fracture. Doesn't matter how old you are. I had my first one when I was about 30. Gotta love that prednisone. If you are still having the pain, you should get it checked out.

I have had bad gas pains between my shoulder blades.  This happened once when I was in the ospital and they said it was common.  They suggested walking around, but it hurt too bad.  If it doesn't go away after a bit a I would say it is not gas and would check on other things like others have posted above.
