Not sure if I'm rushing things or not but I started eating raw apples and had a salad yesterday. I just went to the bathroom and it was the first satisfying experience I've had in so long. It was so nice to have some bulk to output, know what I mean? That I didn't get D is good news I'm sure. I think the Specific Carbohydrate Diet is really helping me.

I love that I can post this stuff here and only slightly gross you out.

I'm so jealous you can eat a salad and get away with it. Can you relive the crunch for me?, and I'll just sit here and drool into the keyboard.

here is a whopper of a story for you. i went without a salad for over 10 years cos the fiber did a number on my system. in fact, i hardly ate any vegetables in that time since i didnt tolerate them very well. i did the makers diet a year ago and it calls for a lot of fruits and vegetables and hardly any grain based foods. that is the exact opposite of how i was eating at the time. but seeing how i was in a corner - try this diet which worked for the author or get a colectomy, i figured i didnt have much choice. it was scary cos the bulk of the foods on the diet were my danger foods. here is the kicker - i tolerated them all no problem! i eat salads 2-3 times a day now as my meal. i still cant do broccoli though and i do peel my apples - i try to reduce my insoluble fiber in take in that respect. but i now tolerate vegetables. imho, it is nothing short of a miracle. i eat fruit 3-5 times a day too. this diet some how worked for me. maybe it can work for you? i also use a fiber supplement when i make smoothies. i tolerate that too. oh, and i never had the surgery. i am feeling the best ever.

I never have had problems with eating salads, but I'll tell you one thing for sure, when I started taking fibre supplements as my GI ordered me to daily for the rest of my life, I found after my system got used to the supplements, I don't have any gas or bloat from eating any fibreous foods now, I never got D from eating fibreous foods but used to sometimes get bloated/gassy from them... I just finished eating popcorn as a matter of fact.

hard to digest. I also can eat salads, I stay away from eating apples.
