Hello. So, it is now exactly 40 days post-op from my ileocecal small bowel resection. I generally feel better (sorta), but over the past 5 days, it feels like I am reverting to the way I was before surgery...having troubles passing a BM...I've had to give myself 2 sodium phosphate (Fleet) enemas, with some relief. I am kinda concerned...not sure if this is all part of the "healing" process, or if I could be developing scar tissue at the resection site...has anyone experienced this?

Thanks so much :)

I would call your DR immediately and inform them of the changes that have occured, it may be simple or serious

What kind of diet are you on? If you are maintaining a bland, low fibre diet it may be your body telling you that it needs more bulk and fibre. Perhaps you could discuss with GI and if it is appropriate get a referral to a dietitien.
