Hi all,

My PCP finally got me in to see the RA doc sooner than next week, I go tomorrow yay hopefully they can get this under control and get me back on remicade or try humira.  I just am a chicken when it comes to giving myself needles.  I moved up my follow up with my surgeon since aI am still having pain etc.  My GI office finally got back to me from last thursday, he okayed the questran but no one decided to call it in I will start that tomorrow.  I hope that will help some of this cramping too.

As for that job interview I had I heard back today, since I have no primary medical experience they offered it to me as a temp to possible perm. job.  Little do they know how much medical terminology I really know, and how many medical tests I can explain etc.  I wouldnt get benefits since it is temp but after 3 or 4 months I reapply as a permanent and then if offered I would get all benefits offered.  Cant help to get my foot in the door.  I just hope my joints and belly calm down soon.  They  still have to call references and verify my education so I have about 2 weeks before I start.  The hours are 8-4:30 and my next GI appt is in Oct at 4:45 which in that office I could walk from my new place of emploment and still get there on time.

Does anyone have tips on prevention of gas? I have severe gas pains often.  Also any ideas about room deodorizer that I will most likely need when I have  a BM when I get working?

Hi Steph So glad to hear you got the job I am just about ready to get up and do the Barney jig. As far as deodorizer someone had mentioned something about Wall Mart selling something around the toilet paper isle ask the pharmasist what works best for that and for gas some people use gas X but I haven't tried any since I got CD. Best of Wishes heading your way. lol gail

hey something good had to happen this year after all I have been through. My mom works at the same hospital but in pathology. My old job I stood for the majority of my shift unless I was assisting with a large dog and used the floor. One part in the description is the ability to sit for long periods of time, shoot I can probably outsit many esp on the toilet lol. Wait till they findout how much med termonology I know...I will tell the head of the dept (she is a nurse) about my CD after I start this way we may be able to work out that on my Dr days I get the earlier shift so I can make it to the Dr on time as long as I take the last appt of the day at my Dr. My GI has an office the next street over and I could literally walk there and still make the appt on time, it isnt his main office but its close.
