Hello all

Im Mollys mum and I luckily have not needed to visit for a while, anyway Molly been doing fairly well for the last few months which is great because she is just being a normal kid, however she has just started having little wetting herself accidents (cant think of another way to put it) Molly is 12 by the way so this is not a normal thing, she says she just cant stop it, has anybody experienced anything like this before.

ANother question has anybody experienced any problems with their teeth, Molly gets lots of mouth ulcers which are as you all know part and parcel of CD but also she seems to need fillings in her teeth and then when she has them her mouth becomes even more sore

Hope someone can help

Molly's Mum x

She may have a urinary tract infection, which can cause this.  A simple urine sample given at the doctor's office can detect this.  Just a suggestion. As far as the teeth/mouth sores, I'm not sure..... Take care, Julie

Hi Moll's Mom Have you had her glucose checked mine is up from the pred. and I have noticed a little urine escapeing at times lately. If she was on pred. and getting too much sugar it would have effected her teeth. I am having some dental problems but not alot. Not sure what to do about the mouth what has the Dr. recommended for that? So glad she is doing good otherwise. lol gail

I get sores on my tongue that look like litlte ulcers or something. They hurt and bother the heck out of me. The only thing I have found that gives me relief is denture cream medicine in the toothpaste aisle at the store. I think it numbs it and lets me leave it alone to heal. Something to try.

I wonder... Did she just start middle school? Ask her if she goes while at school. My daughter did the same thing and I found out she was trying to hold it till she got home. Didn't want to go in the bathroom at school. I don't know if all the usual horror stories got to her. Or maybe was afraid of being late. Kids can think strange things sometimes.

The drugs can affect your teeth - particularly prednisone.

I have never wet my pants but I do have serious urine urgency which can be as bad as my poop urgency sometimes.  I don't know if it is crohns related or not but I think for me it is.
