This is something that worked for me many years ago when I had gut issues. Of course, that was before my Crohn's DX. Does this work for anyone now? The kind I used to take was a DDS-100 - it has to be refrigerated.

I love the primadophilus reuteri made by natures way, it has to be refridgerated as well, but it's worth it.

I use some probiotics and I make my own home made yoghurt to help my intestines to have a better immunesystem. You can order vitamines, minerals and probiotics on the net or buy it in a healthstore, and you can always choose probiotics that don't need refridgerator or to keep cold while shipping. The probiotics that helps a lot are: primadophilus reuteri, lactobacillus acidophilus, lactobacillus casei rhamnosus GG, often called LGG, and also bifidobacterium lactis.

There is also a sort of yeast that is called Saccaromyces Boulardii, is supposed to break down the bacteria clostridium difficile (animal trials shows this), but this is not good to use if you have got fungemi problems.

The best,
from Ingrid

I take one capsule a day, I figure with all the immune suppressant drugs I am on, it would be a good idea.

I use the lactobacillus acidophilus at night. And the Digestive Advantage Lactose Intolerant probiotic in the a.m.

I take double strength acidophilus/bisidophilus capsules twice a day.(they need to be refrigerated if they are live) It puts the good bacteria back in your gut when you've got bad D and keeps the gut balanced when things are not too bad.
