well they finally looked into my blurry vision problem today....its vasculitis or bleeding on the retina...they said related to the Crohn's

anyone else have this?? or experienced it

he didnt seem overly concerned, said that he saw previous damage going back in the eye and that if the vision became even worse to come back??!! confused

I have several bouts of iritis and uveitis, both conditions are associated with Crohn's and Ankylosing spondylitis so I don't know which disease to blame since I have both. Did they give you anything to treat your problem?

Songstress, that's so interesting that you posted this topic.  Over the past few months my vision is getting worse/blurry/fuzzy.  I need to go to the eye doctor.  Did your doctor give you any suggestions, or is it just something you have to "deal" with?  Take care, Julie

yeah see thats the funny thing...the doc didnt say there was anything I could do....he didnt even seem overly concerned

he said he could tell this wasnt a new problem..that he saw old blood from bloodvessels that had burst or so behind the retina

he said he wanted to see me if the vision got either way worse and of course in 2 mths to make sure there wasnt extreme damage going on. Im just wondering if its a relatively benign condition or if you lose some of your vision over time?

YES-YES  I have had blurred vision  for some time, I ask my Doc (PCP) if it could be related to CD or the Remicaid, said NO. I have not went to see the vision Doc. Also, I have been on remicade for 3 + years, I get the max (10) per liter or what ever, also My teeth started turning black , decaying , drying out etc, just bad. I had to have a bunch pulled, have 1 left in my mouth and they are bad and hurt. I just finished paying off the oral surgeon and he said it would cost $6,000 to pull the rest and get false teeth. I do not have dental or vision insurance, only health. At 64 I do not have many options. Which first ? Vision or teeth? I can by a blender and drink or gum my food. Right now I buy the $1.00 glasses at the $1.0 store. I understand about the blurred vision. I had to go back to work and cant see very well. I hope your insurance covers you.

Vision or teeth?

A hard choice no doubt.
If I had to pick it would be vision, you can always fix your teeth later.
