I was wondering what to do for the pimples that get soooo big they become their own bodily organ? I have two on my back (among the billions of little ones) that broke open and NOW...they wont stop seeping puss. I have been treating them with first aid ointment and covering them up with bandaids for two weeks but they arent healing or getting any better. They are the size of a pea (little bigger) and just as deep. They hurt like a son of a b****     I know I am a slow healer but I am not to sure what to do about infected pimples?

Hi LittleSisSmurf love your name Have you tried Peroxide or rubbing alochol on the pimples and how is your glucose doing I had trouble with my head getting healed from fly bites and healed better after I cut down on the sugar.Of course getting away from the flies helped me .I know you cain't shew them away but hope this helps some.The pred can really cause a big pimple problem from some of the pics I seen so hope you get some help if not what is your DR. suggesting you do for them? lol gail

Thanks ga, I went to the doc's and he gave me some antibiotics. I guess the pimples turned into sists and are very infected. I didn't think they were normal pimples. I also got probiotics for the antibiotics. I guess they cause yeast infections and I have to counteract that with the probiotics. GOD! Drugs for my drugs.... lol Well, I hope they kick in soon because they reeeeeally hurt. I also got medicated cream and some over the counter face wash to battle the acne. I would refrain from putting an ointment on them. Just use the band-aids (changed often) to keep it as dry as possible so it heals faster.

For future preventative maintenance, I would suggest Erythromysin topical solution USP 2%. It is a bingo dobber of topical antibiotic. Works wonders.

Sounds painful. Do you drink much water throughout the day?, if not try to average 6 to 8 glasses, it will help flush the toxins from your body.

Thanks for the ideas. I have been using ointment, but I will definately stop. It's like having a fistula on my back with all of the puss that is never ending. I know it isn't though. I think it is getting bigger and the puss has turned green (infection) but I am waiting for the anti-biotics to kick in. If it gets any bigger Im just going to emerg and let them deal with it. I usually eat lots of fruits, and veggies along with powerade and water. I am luck to be able to eat fruits and veggies....just looking at the upside. thanks again smurf My entire family calls me smurf lol

Has your doctor had you checked for staph?  I was just diagnosed with staph infection today from something very similar.  Those are probably not acne, but little boils that resemble pimples.

Well, I just went to the drop in clinic like I always do. They like to ship me in and out with a prescription in hand. I am usually the one to ask the questions on diagnosis. How sad.  I will definatlely ask though....about staph. Ive never had a boil so that didn't even enter my mind. Thank you. I will have to go again soon since the antibiotics are upsetting my stomach and I dont need to go into another flare. I am just getting better from the last one.
