Hi all,

I am waiting for my hunira approval to kick in so I can start it.  My GI knows that if my colonoscopy that I will be having sometime in the begining of 08 shows no active CD that my husband and I would like to try and start a family.  I know about all the other CD meds and their safety and issues but I know nothing about humira and its safety.

Has anyone on here been pregnant and on humira?  How did things go?

thanks

Stef - I'm currently pregnant (6.5 weeks) and on Humira.  Since it's so early in the pregnancy, I don't really know how things will go, but I'm hoping for the best.

I discussed the safety of Humira with my GI before I got pregnant and he gave me his blessing.  I haven't told my OB that I'm on it yet - my first appt is next week - and I know that ultimately he'll follow my GI's lead, but it might give him a few gray hairs.

Good luck!

Beth, thanks for sharing your choice right now in taking Humira while pregnant. I know the studies aren't showing much but since me and Dh would like to have our first fairly soon, I envision having to make the call on the Humira/pregnancy as well. Nice to hear others are going down that road as well.

Good luck with your pregnancy and congrats =)

Thanks Aimee. Good luck to you with your future pregnancy! :)

P.S. I was on Imuran when I was pregnant with my first daughter and I have a healthy, perfect 2 year old to show for it.
