The last few days my main CD pain has been in my left side and around to my back. I'm wondering if this is turning into a kidney issue. It is a dull, achy pain (kind of like ovulation pain but up in my back/side). Could this also be something to do with my colon? I wasn't told I have CD in the colon but that hurts as much as anywhere else so I'm wondering.

Hi Ohana

Being male I do not know what ovulation pain is like, but I can tell you that when I first found out that I had a kidney stone I had an ache in my side that shot up tp my kidney area, plus I had blood in my urine. I cannot be 100% sure that this is what it is, but it could be a possibility. I had to have x-rays and a CT scan to confirm the presence of a stone, aparently they are common in people with CD,most times I could feel a sharp pain along my side that was some times accompanied by an ache in my kidney area. There were times, however when the pain became quite intence. I hope this helps, but the best thing to do is to have a doctor check you out and if he or she does comfirm a stone you might want to get a prescrition for pain medicine to have on hand.

Hope that you feel better soon !

Ohana...I had pain in my side and back with gallstones. Also had nausea, vomitting and the feeling I needed to be burped. I also had pain right in the middle of my stomach up high.
I would get hold of your doc and check it out.
