hi my name is miranda and my husband was diagnosed with crohns last november. he had been diagnosed originally with a hernia and was told he would be on protonix for the rest of his life. his symptoms got worse and one day while he was at work he lost control of his bowels. this turned into a long drawn out process and another colonoscopy and a endoscopy later he was diagnosed with crohn's. he was put on temporary disability from his job and they eventually let him go. he found another job and was put in the hospital and yet again was let go. he wasnt able to get any job until a few weeks ago. now he works part time at a retail store. we both work ( my job is full time) an dhave two beautiful children together a son ( anakin who will be two on sept 25 and brenna is 3 ) i look foward to talking to everyone.

Hi Welcome to HW I konw the feeling of looseing it in your drawers thing it has probably happened to us all and a person adjust to those things taking extra clothes somewhere sometimes helps .How is he doing on the Protonix never tried it ? Not sure where you live but I know some countries seem to try and help when a person looses time due to sickness on the job . It can be hard to adjust to a new disease and especially one that is not curable. I spent alot of time on here learning about stuff and the differebt ways people were handling IBD it has been a great comfort and help to me .Hope your husband is doing better and we are glad to have you how are you managing I know it can be hard for our loved ones and he is lucky to have your support with this. lol gail

protonix is for his acid reflux. it works way better than nexium or prevacid. i actually started a group on cafemom.com about wives/spouses with sick husbands and it helps alot to have someone there who knows what you are going through. i appreciate the kind thoughts for my hubby!
