This is my first post in....shoot, probably a year.  I guess you would call me a fair weather friend.  Actually I am still doing well with my mix of Azithioprene and Remicade (which I have gone from every 6 weeks to now every 10+).  Anyway, I have had a problem with not being able to heal as quickly as I used to.  I also bruise very easily.   What could this be?  Do others have trouble healing as well?  I have noticed this in the past 3 years or so.  Let me know.  Sorry about not checking on here much.  You are an awesome group!

I think the Imuran is the culprit with the slow healing and the bruising. The Remicade usually helps things to heal quicker. You might want to get your bloods checked too to make sure your not anemic either. Good Luck!

Remicade also slows down healing, it suppresses your immune system. So between both drugs, it's normal. I'd just be careful if I had a chest cold, or a wound that won't heal.

I have a wound and it healed sort of, the skin closed but it has been a redish brown discoloration for two months. I guess it is a scar but it just seems like such a large wound from just falling (while walking) on the pavement.
