Hi, I was reading what you posted about you breastfeeding, while you were on your medication. Did you happen to take Imuran during breastfeeding? I am going on 9 month only 4 1/2, before I FINALLY give birth.

My GI doctor and I both agree, if I move my Imuran dosage down to 50 mg a day and take 25 mg in the morning and 25 again at night. He thinks it should be fine to breastfeed. I also have the Mother's for Medication Milk by Dr. Thomas Hale. Your input would be very interesting to hear.

Sorry I haven't been around this weekend. To answer your question, no, I did not take Imuran. I was on 6mp prior to pregnancy and GI wanted me to take it again immediately after birth, but 6mp is a no-no for breastfeeding. What does Dr. Hale say about Imuran? If it were me, I would totally go by what Dr. Hale says. Sorry, if that wasn't much help. I know these are hard decisions to make.

Well my GI doctor just called me back today and said, he does not want me to take Imuran at all breastfeeding. He said, he spoke with a lady a Mt. Sinani, she said that is a big no no.

Thomas Hale, says be cautious. 75mg 100 mg very little amount goes throught the breast. I was going to go down to 50 mg.
