I have been in so much pain the last month or so I cannot stand it !! Its pretty bad when a grown 64 year old man cries in the doc's office. kPain med don really work. I am going in tomorrow to the hospital for colonoscopy/endoscopy. I get the max of remicade every 7 weeks and have gerd so bad it looks like raw hamburger. Had part of illium taken out , been on everything thats out there. Been in the ER so much they know me by my first name and they are going to name a new wing after me. I have lower back and stomach pain so bad I cannot stand it, I have had three back surgeries so I do not know if the back pain is crohns ??? Whats you pain leval  when they say between 1- 10 .....what do you think ? Morphine doesnt work on me, , a month ago when I was in ER my blood preasure was 202/119  it took three shots of delidad ( spelling ? ) to get preasure down and pain down...well next day I am still in pain...so tomorrow I will see or my wife will ( I will be out of it ) Right now cant get to far away from the bathroom. I hope I dont have to have surgery , but whats the chance of that...I just do NOT  know how much more of t his I can take !!

Hi Kurt Sounds like things have not been going so good for you and it must be frustrating. I hope they can figure out what is wrong with you and get you some relief.I had gerd last night and it was making my chest sore all day specially when I coughed. I suppose you are doing your cleaning out .Hope things go good for you and keep in touch. Doesn't matter how old you are we have all cried at one time or another. Was thinking today I have enough problems without gerd it gets me down. Best Wishes lol gail

I have had back pain from Crohn's , it is usually when my abdominal pain is so bad that the pain wraps around to my back and i can't sit still , lay down or do anything. I have Crohns in the terminal ileum too and have had quiet a bit of my small intestines removed. I feel for you. When your pain is so off the charts that nothing works it can be sheer hell. I t is hard to put the pain on chart no. too. I was just in the hospital for 9 days and morphine and MS Contin worked but two years ago nothing worked and they had to call Antheisiologists in to try and control my pain with a continuous Fentanyl drip. I am also on Remicade every 8 weeks and my doctor is going to up the dosage at the end of Oct. due to my recent flare. I hope you can find some answers and more importantly some relief from your pain. My doctors kept saying when I was just in the hospital that they couldnt believe I was in as much pain as I was and that the markers didnt show that I should be feeling that much pain. Another doctor mentioned nerve entrapment and adhesions can cause pain from previous surgeries. Take care, Amy

I had really bad back pain for years adn went to the chiro, until i was diagnosed and put on meds, the pain has gotten under control. I could not lie down at all.  It still happens but not as bad, I have it in the TI as well.   I do hope you find some comfort soon.
