I was wondering if anyone gets superficial anal or vaginal fissures.  I had a bleeding one on my anus last night that I used my Beta-Val cream on and it hasnt vbled since.  Today I now have one vaginally.  I remember getting vaginal ones frequently as a kid and was passed off as being related to possible soap allergy.  For the past 7 years I have stick to the same soaps, (laundry and bathsoap) and I still get them.  I do tend to get more towards the end of my period, I think it may be due to the fact that I only use pads but I change them often enough even if they dont look like they need to be.

I just placed some beta val on the vaginal one and hope it gets better overnight like my anal one did.

I started my new job today and informed my boss (also an RN) about my CD and my Dr appts.  The days where I have appts at 4:30 I will be able to work the early shift and get off at 4....from my building I have to go to another then catch a shuttle to the employee lot...sometimes you have to wait til the shuttle fills before it heads to the parking area.  I got out at 4:10 today and got to my car by about 4:20

The first question I asked when I arrived at my work area was where are the bathrooms.  There is one right outside the reception area and is for patients but I figure if I got to go and fast and its empty I'm going....they can blame a patient for my stink that way lol.  I had the luxury of not needing to have a BM at work today, had 1 in the am 1 when I got home and 1 after dinner.  I think it was since I barely ate breakfast just a tiny danish at the continental breakfast....drank lots tho coffee, tea and OJ as well as water.  Hopefully I will be able to avoid frequent trips to the RR but at least the boss knows why I may be in there often

Im not exactly sure what a superficial vaginal fissure would be but now that you mention it I just might have one. I have had some odd pains and was always worried about a fistula. I took a look the other day and saw a spot that looked like a paper cut. I said, odd, looks like a butt fissure I get. Nah, can't be.... Maybe it was :) But yes, I get fissures that are there for a couple days and then heal on their own.

Bath with epsome salts, no, it won't sting, it will help heal quicker though....then gently rub extra virgine olive oil, it's a natural anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-viral, it helps heal as well...trust me.

the beta val has cortizone in it, I wouldnt take a bath in my local water, just showers. The city water we have is sometimes brown....really brown. Currently it has a dirt like odor to it and teh only way to rid it of that scent and flavor is boiling it. When not dirt like it is over chlorinated, I figure the less exposure time the better.
