abnormal liver function test

hey everyone,

my name is melissah and im currently in STRESS mode again!

i have been tired recently thinking it was just my crohns, but i had some blood taken and my liver test came back too high...

im on imuran, and was wondering what imuran could do to ur liver? and do i have to eventually come off this drug??

its a harsh drug, but it works a treat!

Hi, melissah - yes, Imuran can cause problems that make the liver values abnormal. Depending on how high the numbers were, they will either want a repeat blood test soon or take you off the meds and wait a bit and do another test. Also, they might watn to draw additional blood for other tests. Did the doctor's office call you with the results? If so, what did they say they wanted you to do? And if you got the results from somewhere else, I would call the doctor's office and ask to be seen to discuss the results.

thanks so much for your responses.. i understand that stress is a main factor contributing to many problems i have! i just cant help it!
first time in my life i hope i have a fatty liver!! its something you can fix... i have my fingers crossed its not the Imuran!
