i was so scared becasue i woke up fully last time and it was jsut a horrible experience. well i am very hard to sedate. i told the nurses what was up and they waid they would try the best they could. so they give me some fentanly for the pain and some versed for the lalaland. .... nothing.... more meds... nothing.... more meds....starting to feel a liiiiiiiiittle relaxed but nothing really. they told me that they had given me the max dosage (200 mg which i guess iis insanely high they told me) and couldnt give me anymore so i said just start. the good thing was that i was relaxed so it wasnt as bad as the first one and they talked me thru it, even the parts that hurt. funny thing is i watched the whole thing and i never did that before. so all in all it wasnt that bad and i worried for nothing i guess, although i would have been more comfortable being knocked out more.

im a little worried tho becasue they took biopsies and now i have to wait a week to see what they say becasue the doc didnt come out to talk after. he was running very late. i guess ill just have to cool my heels and wait, im SO not a patient person.

so thank you to those who offered your support before the procedure from my last post, i really apprecieate it.

so thats my story

I'm glad you got through it without too much trouble. I'm also glad to hear of someone else who can take the maximum dose and not go to lala land. I'm watching the whole thing, I'm OK, a little uncomfortable, but OK. They take me out to the recovery area and the 250lb guy next to me who had half the dose is snoring up a storm. I'm arguing with the nurse that I just want to read my book and would she please just give it too me from under the gurney. Its all the stupid drugs we take. They mess with us. It makes me worry about the next time I need to have surgery, that is one thing I don't want to be awake for!

Wow, and I thought I was resistant to meds.

Biopsies are normal for a colonoscopy, don't stress. Hope everything comes out okay, let us know.
