Crohn's wise I am doing very well..knock on wood. One side effect of seemingly being so dried out is dry skin. Mainly my cheeks and forehead get extremely dry. I've been using lotion daily but sometimes it just doesn't seem to help much.

Does anyone else battle this? What are you using?

Thanks
Genetics

PS Nexcare makes a great lotion that is marketed to aid in diseases where dry skin is a side effect. I've been using it for a few months now. It is a good lotion but lately even that doesn't seem to help.

I have the same problem!! I use a lotion called Cetaphil. It's very good at adding the moisture back in with out having that feeling of grease left behind. I swear by it. It's good for those of us with eczema too...

Extra virgine olive oil all the way, I use it all over my body and on my hair before bed...it does soak in and is a natural anti-inflammatory, antifungal and antibacterial....tastes good too, I cook with it everyday.

You need to take fish oil capsules and consume olive oil.

I take Fish Oil every day plus Vitamin E, B12, and a Multi Vitamin.
Thanks for all the suggestions.

Check your multi vitamin if it has E in it DO NOT take an extra E too much E is very dangerous. You do not need anymore than what is in a multi.

Are you scrubbing the dead skin off daily if not you will look drier than you really are.
