I have to use them for the next 3 weeks..... how bad is it. they say lay on my side and stay there for 15 minutes to let it soak in, but does it burn? do you have any other tips for me? im using it for extreme fissures and internal hemmies and possible CD inflammation. It just is SO freakin unpleasant to think about and i have to use them every night. Oh the things we CD'rs have to do to our bodies.

just lemme know if you have anything...

thank you

I had to do these before. It was a few years ago so bear with me. I don't recall having any problems using them. They didn't burn or anything like that. Just a bit uncomfortable at first.
I remember that they were expensive. For like 12 of them it was over $1000. I remember my insurance didn't want to pay for them. So I hope that isn't a problem for you.

I used the rowasa enemas for a while during last years flare, is that what you are talking about? I used them at night, very uncomfortable for me to stick them up there but once it was there I would breathe deep and just let the med SLOWLY come out. One time I rushed it and REGRETTED IT!!! I found it painful to hold the med in personally, thats where my disease was real active so direct medication to me felt like peroxide on a cut. I am just being honest. But I had to do them every night for weeks on end until my rectum collapsed. They helped a lot it was just awkward to stick something up there and it was uncomfortable to hold it in. I would do it again without a second thought because they helped me. I took sleeping pills to make it easier to go to bed like that. I also said the serenity prayer over and over again while I gave myself the enema.
the things we deal with.. I hope this is helpful and doesn't scare you off I just wanted to be honest and for me and my disease they worked but were uncomfortable to administer
