well this totally bites, i seem to feel worse on the prednisone. i am sticking with the low residue foods and i have been having pains something awful :/ is it too soon to tell if it's helping or not? i went out and bought some baby food and some instant mashed potaters and i also have some jello & some juice that i am going to have tomorrow for my meals. i hope that helps some. otherwise, i am going to call my gi on monday the latest about my pain not getting better and maybe getting me on the 6mp asap. i wish answers were easy :/

thanks to anyone that can share some thoughts.

Hmmmm...sounds like you might be headed for the next class of drugs. Pentasa didn't do much of anything for me. As to the stricture...can't offer much there...haven't had one, yet. Keep following the diet and hopefully you'll find the right combo of drugs to get you straightened out soon.

Hi,

I have been on prednisone for a month now which no change.  Still in pain with all the flare up symptoms.  The prednisone is still not working.  I have all the rotten side effects from the pred. Weight gain, round face, etc....its a bit depressing....but I have been told it does work, so I guess you should hang in there.

well, here's to hoping we start feeling some good effects of this evil little drug!

take care :)
