Hi for all of you that are on imuran, did you experience hair loss and if yes, does it go away after 3 some months (after your body gets adjusted to the meds) or is your hair thinner permanently?

I was on asacol (and currently am on top of the imuran) and my hair has gotten thinner.

Just wanted to prepare myself.

thanks

I am no longer taking Imuran, but when I did my hair really came out.  Alot of folks have found that taking 1 mg Folic Acid and if you can handle it some Biotin.  They really help to slow the hair loss down.  I wish I could stomach them, but can't tolerate any supplements except probiotics, sigh!!

Both Imuran and Asacol can cause hair loss. Imuran is a folic acid antagonist so making sure you get some does help.

Hi I have been on Imuran for over 2 years and have no hair lose or no thinning either. My hair is very
full. Are you using a salon shampoo?
