Thought I'd update on how I'm doing. I'm take the probiotics as prescribed. I am doing better today then yesterday. But I'm still cramping up every so often and have had about 3 bouts of D. I was really hoping I'd be better today. We leave for out of town in 3 days and I sure can't be on the road feeling like this.

I'm eating the "brat" diet pretty much. Not sure if that's the right course or not at this point. Maybe things won't "firm" up until I start eating normal food? I skipped my Questran yesterday because of what was going on, so I'm sure that isn't helping me still having D today. Anyone have any tips on what you do for bad days like these? If I'm still having D Monday I'm calling the GI back again. But like I said we leave out of town on Tuesday. So I'm really hoping to be doing better here soon.

I'm also not really sure what is going on anymore. Was it the antibiotics? Was is a flu? Food poisoning (after I went to urgent care I stopped at McDonalds since I didn't have dinner)? Or a Crohn's flare? All the same symptoms so it's so hard to tell. sad

Hi Jen,

Have you tried Imodium or Lomotil? I find they help control the D, and I take them anytime I have to travel and won't have a bathroom immediately available.

Why did you skip the Questran? Does it usually control the D? I used to take it years ago and found it helped.

Hope you're doing better soon and have a good trip?

Hi potty pooper, I did take some Immodium today. I skipped the Questran because I was kind of afraid to take it, things were just so messed up in there. It does help with diarrhea, but only from having too much bile. But I did take it today as well, so hopefully that will help too. I still have no idea what that whole attack was about. Probably never will. Seem to be better tonight finally (maybe the Immodium helped). Ate some dinner and everything is staying in with no pain. Hopefully that's a good sign.
