Oh wow I sure am learing that hard way not to take advantage of my "good days".

Today I have this terrible joint pain in both knees and residue muscle pain from the meanest leg cramp that I have ever had. I have no doubts that this is a possible side effect from my medications. Any ideas on how I can gain some relief with this??
I'm in misery!!

I do not have crohn's but my daughter may and she also complains of these types of pains. Magnesium will help with cramps it is a natural muscle relaxer. I would suggest advil but that could cause you issues with you crohn's. Try a hot bath with Epsom salts. I know these things sound weird but they work. Also for your joints try a bengay type of cream. I use bio-freeze but you can only get it online or from a physical therapist or a chiropractor. Good luck!

How's your potassium?  I get leg cramps when my potassium is too low.  Take a tablet and let it disolve under your tongue.  It passes through the tissue and into the blood stream, so it gets there faster.  Sometimes this is enough to stop the cramp for me.  It won't help the ache after the cramp, but it might help stop another one.

I got biofreeze at a local medical supply store that is open to the general public.
