boomer - my mom is the same the way, always stressing and fussing over me. there are much sicker people in my family like my grandparents and she worries so much over me, i feel terrible! i tell her not to worry about me and focus on the family that really needs help right now. i was left wondering what the heck was going on after my ct scan showed an "abnormality" and had to wait to be told what the heck was going on. turned out to be thickening and scarring from crohn's.

hang in there and keep us posted of your results!

Prayers on the way. It is very hard for a mother not to worry about her child. Maybe though you can educate her a little more about the disease. Just because we have Crohns, doesn't mean our lives are over. I have had this disease for over 30 years. It hasn't stopped me, its only slowed me down briefly. I have become a mother since I was diagnosed, a grandmother, and held down a job a good many of my years with this disease. So maybe if you can educate her more, her worries might be relieved a little. God Bless!

Sorry to hear about all your troubles. My daughter had walking pneumonia for over a year along with her asthma/allergies, so I know how worrisome all that is too. Your mom is blessed to have someone like you who cares how SHE is doing. I've already said a prayer. -Joy

Hi, I am a mom who's son was diagnosed with Crohn's. So I know how it could be disturbing to hear such a news. When my 21 year old son was diagnosed in July 2007, I took it pretty bad and cryed all the time. I went into a depression which I am still taking medication for. The medication helped me a lot but coming here and being able to express my deepest concerns and fears and getting answers from all the wonderful people on this forum, is what made the difference and has helped me the most, to feel better and educate myself about this darn disease! I felt that I had someone to talk to anytime, anywhere and I could talk without being scared of anybody knowing how I really felt. (in my real world). People here are just amazing and if you could talk to your mom and invite her to come and visit us, she will be able to communicate and not feel as lonely.

I wish you and your sister and of course your mom all the best and yes I will keep you and yours in my prayers.

Sad Mom!

P.S.: I want to take this time to thank you all for just being here for me!!!!!!!!!!!
